Mirza Yusuf Changezi (Bharat Bhushan) and Jahan Ara (Mala Sinha) have been good friends since childhood. Things are not quite the same as they grow up, as Jahan Ara's father is none other than Emperor Shah Jahan, and men are not permitted to meet with the princess under any circumstances. However, Jahan and Mirza do meet secretly and promise to marry each other. Misfortune visits the emperor, when his wife, Mumtaz Mahal (Achala Sachdev), passes away. The emperor gets deeply devastated, and, still mourning his wife's death, he pledges to build a memorial in her name (which would subsequently be called Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders on Earth). At her deathbed, Mumtaz makes Jahan promise that she will take care of her father, which she promises to do. This responsibility makes her sacrifice her love for Mirza, who is heartbroken and continues to believe that Jahan will sooner or later reunite with him.

About sad end of Saeeda Khan :-

The heroine of this movie is called Sayeeda Khan.
There is very little known about Sayeeda Khan, but I have managed to dig out some information about her.
She was a small time actress active in Bollywood in 1960s and she acted in a few movies.
For instance, she acted opposite Kishore Kumar in movies like crorepati and Apna haath Jagannath, with Manoj Kumar in Honeymoon. She married Brij Sadanah (producer of Victoria no. 203).

In 1990, her husband Killed Sayeeda Khan and their daughter, before killing himself. Luckily their son Kamal, who was not at home, survived. Kamal Sadanah later acted as Hero in a movie called Rang.

Storyline :-

Dr. Shankar Chaudhry lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay with his widowed mom, Rukmini, and younger sister, Manju. His mom would like him to get married to Ambala-based Advocate Madhusudan's daughter, Maya, even though neither of them have seen her. Shankar does agree to this marriage; the marriage takes place, the bride faints after the formalities; she is looked after by her cousin, Prakash, and Madhusudan; she recovers, and the next day she accompanies Shankar to his home. On the very first night she informs him that since she is undergoing a Holy Fast, she must refrain from any sexual activity. A few days later, Prakash arrives to take her to Banaras where her dad has re-located. Shankar accompanies them and get re-married to her at Bhagwan Vishwanath's Temple. Thereafter, both get intimate and soon Maya becomes pregnant. One day Shankar comes home to find both Prakash and Maya missing...

Jahan Ara is a 1964 Indian Hindi debut film of director Vinod Kumar. The film stars Mala Sinha, Bharat Bhushan, Shashikala and Prithviraj Kapoor in lead roles. The film is a historical romance based on the life of Jahanara Begum Sahib, played by Sinha. It was the first time this character was portrayed on-screen.

The soundtrack of the film contains songs composed by Madan Mohan, while the lyrics are by Rajinder Krishan. The songs of the film became popular and still remain so. The album made an attempt of reviving singing career of Talat Mahmood over rising career of Mohammad Rafi.

The song Tum Juda Hokar Hame Kuch Aur Paare Ho Gaye by Talat Mahmood was released on the CD Tere Bagair by his son Sanjeev Kohli.[2] Another song Kabhee Aankhon Mein Teri sung by he four sisters Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Mangeshkar was neither filmed nor released on disc. An engrossing love story between Aman & Shabnam. Aman is a struggling & talented Urdu poet who is making a mark in the musical world. Shabnam loves his songs & poetry. When Aman & Shabnam meet each other accidently in a stormy night, they fall in love with each other. Aman is appointed as a tutor in Shabnam's pavilion for her sister Ranziah of the recommendation of Aman's friend Shekhar. Aman & Shabnam start romancing each other & plan to marry soon. But Shabnam's father turns up as their nemesis. He insults & expells Aman from their house & further fixes Shabnam's marriage with Aftab Ahmed of Lucknow against her wish. Khan Bahadur (Shabnam's father) sets off for Lucknow with his family. A dejected & devasted Aman also coincidentally arrives at Lucknow in search of his fortune. As a matter of further coincidence, Aman discovers that the friend in whose house he is staying is actually the future spouse of Shabnam. Aman leaves Aftab's residence without notice. Meanwhile Aman's old pals Shabnam & Shamma arrive at lucknow with their father to participate in a Shayari challenge. Shamma is an ardent & secret admires of the lonely Aman. Whatever she does, is dedicated in Aman's memory. Aman begins to pen & compose magnificent Shayaris. He begins to sing on radio programmes. Very quickly Aman carves a niche for himself in the elite world of Lucknow. Shamma & Aman meet each other at Lucknow. Shamma becomnes overjoyed. Aman who is submerged in the painful memory of his lost love for Shamma's does not realise Shamma's unconditional love. Anyway, he becomes the heart and soul of Shamma's father's musical troup. With Aman's voice & shayaris, Shamma's group attains pinnacle of success & popularity. A shattered & imprisoned Shabnam overhears Aman's voice on radio & acknowledges that Aman is still in Lucknow. After an immense effort, Shabnam reaches one of Aman's poetic duels. Shamma faints during the program. Her sickness gives a platform for Shabnam & Aman to meet each other. Khan Bhadur & Aman's friend Shekhar reach the spot searching for the missing Shabnam. At this point Shabnam's mother revolts against the tyranical & dictatorial Khan Bahadur. Even Aftab Ahmed supports Shabnam's mother. Khan Bhadur gives in & the estranged lovers reunite on another rainy night.

STORY OF THE FILM SEEMA ;-As a young, impoverished orphan, Gauri (nutan) is sent to be a servant in her aunt's house, where she develops into a beautiful young woman. But when she turns downs a sleazy male servant's advances, he conspires to frame her for theft and gets her thrown out onto the streets, where she struggles to get by, as men try to take advantage of her, and women distrust her. Eventually she lands in a reformatory, where she finds love with Babuji (balraj sahani) and gradually begins to come into her own.

In her interaction with the Good Evening India, she recalls her association with Raj Kapoor who gave her the first singing break in his movie Around the World in Eight Dollars. Other movies for which she sang includes Gumnaam, Suraj and Pyaar Mohabbat etc.

A trained Karnatak Music singer she was interested in singing from the early childhood.

She was introduced to the Hindi movie songs from her cousins who used to croon while visiting her home in South India. Impressed by the Hindi movie songs, Shardaji was very interested in becoming a Hindi playback singer.

Storyline :-
Lakha(Mubarak) is a chief of a Banjara tribe. He has a Daughter Champa, and an adopted youth Madho(Bharat Bhushan). Once,camping near village Belapur, Madho and Champa find a cute Flute player Raju. Soon there is love in Raju and Madhu. He tells Raju(Suchitra Sen) that Champa is like a sister to him, whereas Champa also loves him. Veera (Pran) loves Raju. Thus Champa and Veera are against this love couple. Champa tell Raju to keep away from Madho as she is to marry him. Raju stays away from Madho. Lakha wants to dig a well for drinking water. While the work is going on, Veera informs Lakha about Madho and Raju. Once Madhu is bitten by a snake and only the flute of Raju can bring back the same snake to suck back the poison. Champa begs Raju and Raju saves Madho. Veera,to take revenge, ignites the Dynamite brought for digging the well, but falls in it and dies. Madhu and Raju who are in the well are saved by Champa who also dies in the attempt, thus paving the way for the marriage of Madhu and Raju...

ABOUT CHITRALEKHA :- Film was essentially the story of a royal dancer, Chitralekha (Meena Kumari), and the effect of her mid life crisis on the significant men in her life.
